In the midst of the summer of 2021 there is some uncertainty about the way Rotary continues to offer those human connections Rotary members valued in the past. But it's clear, that the hands-to-face mantra is going to remain part of our routine. Rotary's face has changed. As we flow through the summer months in 2021 there remains a continuing level of uncertainty in how our service to society includes the highly valued connections between people that were enjoyed by Rotary participants in the past. The motto "hands-in-space" is undoubtedly part of our everyday routine but it's clear that trust is rising and we are able to make more personal relationships. Rotary's changing. Rotary has changed. As we continue to use our online meetings for business meetings and social interactions, we've brought back the concept of interactions with others and serve using a safe face-to-face way. The new opportunities we have discovered are combining with our lessons from our previous pandemics to create a new outlook for Rotary. Recently conducted a Rotary survey revealed that around 75% of the participants were making plans for business as usual. Listen to this story 1. I'm equally pleased to see that the Rotary Support Centre staff continues to supply valuable information and resources to help spread the word about these projects and ensure that the infrastructure is maintained to keep members and the public safe as compliance and insurance is essential. We are aware that volunteering through the network of Rotary builds lasting relationships based upon the experience shared volunteering for the community's benefit. We're extremely proud of the innovative ways our members are able to take on one of the biggest challenges facing our society. Rotary has also provided me with an excellent group of people who are like-minded. I am grateful for this.
